XD yay!
At first when I heard of the game and all the rave reviews it was getting, I was a bit sceptical... I thought this game can't possibly be that good, it's just a lot of hype.
I'm glad I didn't dismiss it so easily and went ahead and got it Very Happy
Post some screens, Red! Very Happy
My character's a Nord and she's lvl 11, soon to be 12.

S-s-shiiiire... BAGGINS!

Aaand... I really want to remake my character. XD It's too bad we can't change our looks from within the game without using a console command and potentially screwing things up.
At least this will give me a chance to explore a couple places I only just found out about, near Riverwood in the beginning. (^_^)

Ok, here's my new character. She's a dark elf (Dunmer), and so far she's pretty awesome Very Happy
Everyone seems to like Nords (as far as npcs go; unless you start being a thief) so we'll see what happens with this character.
I'm not going to be using much magic this time beyond healing and shouting. I'm sticking with my favourite weapon so far (the warhammer) and will try to get better at archery.

Look at the moon!
Skyrim Geek Thread! - Page 2 Tesv_221

I sold my boots and helmet while they were still equipped, and at first didn't notice anything wrong as I was in first-person still...
Then I went to Dragonsreach and was invisible for a few seconds... then I sank into the floor and this resulted LOL:
Skyrim Geek Thread! - Page 2 Tesv_222

Skyrim Geek Thread! - Page 2 Tesv_223

Skyrim Geek Thread! - Page 2 Tesv_224

I fixed it by using a console command to change my gender, and then switched back (after equipping new boots and a new helm and it didn't solve it). FYI this also works if you have an arrow in the knee stuck in you. (Yes I've had this happen too XD the Whiterun guards aren't lying)

Terror twins back in action!
Skyrim Geek Thread! - Page 2 Tesv_225

Shot through the heart, and you're to blame...
Skyrim Geek Thread! - Page 2 Tesv_226

And I one-shot this guy from quite a good distance XD
Up until this point I'd been using as many as 3 arrows to take out bandits. This was great!
Skyrim Geek Thread! - Page 2 Tesv_227

Being an archer in this game is FUN! I actually enjoy it, and I like the fact that you can sometimes pick up missed arrows off the ground so you're not wasting as many. Very Happy

I haven't been able to pull that off yet, but I've done some pretty awesome finishing moves on bandits and Draugr, lol Very Happy
I killed a Mr T-lookalike bandit today XD
Unfortunately I forgot to screenshot. Hope his body's still there, I'll go back later~

Ya, here he is lol~
Skyrim Geek Thread! - Page 2 Tesv_228

The funniest thing happened today whilst I was playing... I got spooked by this person running around in the woods near Ivarstead, so I followed them to try to catch them.
It turned out to be a Stormcloak courier, so I stopped her for a chat and she blathered some npc gibberish.
I couldn't figure out why she was running, but I let her go.
Then this sabre cat jumps out of nowhere and kills her! I was like Surprised!! LOL
So I ran out of there and the cat started attacking me so I killed it. Then I decided to turn back in the direction where she had been running from, and I met up with an Imperial soldier who had his bow drawn, and was running in the direction of the Stormcloak (now dead). XDDDD
Well, Idk what's worse, dying to an Imperial or dying to a sabre cat LOL.

Well the dragon at Bonestrewn Crest for me near Muffzlt is glitched right now so I can't kill it because it flies backwards.

However I am now Zeza the Archmage. Very Happy only thanks to my rod of fireball.

Heh, Skyrim has had me quite distracted. Unfortunately I can't join in on the screen shots since I'm playing on my 360. Level 37 Argonian right now, with smithing at 100 and sneak at 100. And I just recently learned how to do assassination moves on normal enemies, and how to use the shadow warrior perk to better effect.

I wondered if you could pull off finishing moves on dragons. I've mostly just stuck to shooting them in the butt with arrows, then hiding till they settle down. Or letting mud crabs kill em, which was both confusing and hilarious.

I didn't patch, once I heard people were having trouble (and backwards-flying dragons; it's hard enough to get the damn things to come down out of the sky as it is!).
I'll wait til 1.3 and/or when they release the creation kit for us.
If you've got a camera or cameraphone, you could take a pic and upload it to your pc that way. I know pics of tv look horrid but at least we could see a bit of what your char looks like. Very Happy
I'm about to be level 15. I'm a dark elf, sometimes magic-using (but not all that much), warhammer-wielding, archer. XD
LOL my horse (before it died... stupid mages!) was tanking a dragon as I shot arrows into it once. Good times (and that horse was awesome... I need to buy or steal find another one.
And I had the most random quest ever last night, if you meet Sam in one of the inns and he challenges you to a drinking contest, DO IT! It's funny Very Happy

if you have steam auto updates it updates silently. and it was a quest related dragon at bonestrewn crest so im not that worried about it.

Im just pissed off at the dungeon of Muzfult because it had to many solid dwermer pieces of metal and i didnt have enough weight capacity.

Mine doesn't auto-update. I always start in offline mode. I think it's updated once or twice in all the years I've had it lmao.
Go back to the dungeon and pick stuff up after dumping/selling things, or use a console command to set your carryweight to whatever you want. It reverts back to default after you exit and reload the game.
Also a bit off-topic (but not really): I made this awesome sig but I can't get it to show up :<
I can see it in my cache but if I check on another browser or my phone I don't see it at all. And it is Skyrim-related, too. XD

Well, I thought the 1.3 patch would be safe... foolish me!
I don't know why but I couldn't wait nor sleep anywhere the next day after installing it (everything worked fine after installing, up until I quit the game for the night and restarted it the next day).
So I uninstalled, reinstalled and am not going to dl any more patches until things are stabilised.
... Which means I now have to restart, and there's 16 more levels gone LOL.
I could have been lvl 30 by now if I hadn't decided to remake my first character, but I really wasn't having fun playing her at all.

Well I glitched a quest somehow, too... I didn't do the next step and I thought I broke my game, then I thought it'd be ok, til the last three saves ended up being right after I didn't do the thing I should've done, and I decided to just restart (>__<)
The no wait/no sleep anywhere thing could've been a result of that, too, who knows.
I got mad and murdered half the people in Whiterun starting with those stupid Alik'r warriors that appeared after that one quest (they should have left once it was done but nooo they hung about like dorks).
Then I went to jail hoping this would reset things and nope! So fresh install, things seem to be running smooth.
And I'm not patching, EVER. Very Happy

I'm either at or close to level 42 on my argonian guy, and I've just been running around whiterun murdering everything that's hostile to me. Bandits with shields are great for ranking up one hand weapons since I can just pound on them until they're low on health, then I do an execution move on em. I think the most amusing thing I've done in those murder sprees was taking on two mammoths with a dagger, and winning.

Omg LOL.
Mammoths scare the crap out of me XD
But I guess at higher levels they aren't so tough, eh?
I'm trying out dual-wielding daggers as well, now. Things die pretty fast (unless they're tough).
I pick away at them using archery first, then when they're up close and personal I carve them up with my daggers, then if that still doesn't finish them off I bring out the warhammer and crack their skulls open Very Happy
I love the finishing moves.
