Staff Evie Re-vamp!

Introducing the newly revamped staff battle style. The above picture is one of staff Evie's many skills, Ice Spear.



With this revamp there are four main changes in staff battle style.

1. Magic Arrow turned into a basic attack

2. Charge based casting system

3. Alchemy box

4. Mana Ember

With these changes, several skills have been added or removed.


1. Magic Arrow turned into a basic attack



Pressing the normal attack will now make your Evie cast Magic Arrow. It will still take a small amount of stamina but now counts towards 'kill with normal attack' objectives.


2.Charge
The biggest change of all would be the charge system. All spells except for Magic Arrow requires charging to be casted. You can charge by holding on to the smash key.


[pressing the smash key quickly right after reaching a higher stage charge will let you charge up even quicker]

The speed of charging up differs between each 'stages'. You can choose the spell you want to use after charging with your direction keys.



Mana mine : casted by pressing your down direction key during first charge stage.



This differs from the R9 Eagle Talon mine. Mana Mine has lesser damage and duration but can be made quicker.
It has good stun rate compared to it's stamina cost. If you learned flying sparrow, you can use i immediately after planting a mine

Healing Pearl : pressing the left direction key during first stage charge.



The healing skill for staff Evies have been changed to healing pearl. Casting this spell will create a [duh] pearl shaped healing pearl. Any party members close to a healing pearl will recover a good amount of health, but will not be able to use a healing pearl for 2 minutes.
Healing skill and runes will be removed from the game.

Second stage


Firebolt : Cast by pressing the down direction key during stage 2 charge.



The cooldown for Firebolt has been removed and it's range has been increased. Damage has been decreased in turn.

Ice Blast : Cast by pressing the left direction key during stage 2 charge.



A frost AoE attack. Can freeze normal mobs, freeze chanve increased with skill level. Has a short cooldown.


3rd stage charge


Ice Spear : Cast by pressing the down direction key during stage 3 charge.


A straight line attack that does powerfull frost damage. This attack can even freeze bosses but freeze time will decrease each time a boss is frozen and eventually will become immune to the freeze.

4rth stage charge


Blind Arrow : Cast by pressing down direction key during stage 4 charge



Casts multiple magic arrows. Damage and range has been reduced and has a cooldown.

The empty spaces in the charge screen are spaces for future spell updates.


3.Alchemy Box
Alchemy items has been changed for easier usage. Since it's alchemy this change also includes Scythes.


When you press the quickslot key for Alchemy Box, another quickslot will apear


And you can pick the alchemy kit you wish to use or cancel by pressing esc

-Changes in Alchemy-
1.Mercury Binder
Has been changed from side arm to a quickslot item that you plant on the ground. It can be planted quickly and you can take a larger quantity then was possible in the past.
2.Mana Pistol
New added lv 56 alchemy kit


4.Mana Ember

A new survival skill also has been added, Mana Ember



By using the magic of your staff, you create a sturdy ergg around yourself. While in this state you can take in all sorts of attacks.
Can be used by quickly pressing the evasion button twice. But it takes a large amount of stamina so use it wisely.

Ouu, just saw the vids... I wish i stuck with a staff Evie.. xD its more engaging. I like that.
