for those interested

id like you to start looking into classes and the beginnings of making characters. if you dont know what class you would like to play, post here telling me what you would like to be able to do, and i will try to help match you up with a class or two to look into, (for example if you want to play as an archer, a fighter or ranger could serve your purposes, each with their own pros and cons)

for this first attempt i would prefer to run something that shouldnt overwhelm you, even if it is challenging. if this run through goes well, i would like to move into a more complete world where just because something is there doesnt mean you should do it (think a ttl 10 character trying to solo peaca, just because its there, doesnt mean you should try)

if any of you want to have previously existing relationships (ie: friends, siblings, etc) feel free to. i would suggest writing up some sort of character history as they can lead to later adventures, and help to give more depth to your character.

If Zeke becomes a healer, I'd like to be a support spell caster - like, who casts buffs or debuffs or shields. Or if we have too many people to heal, I can be a 2nd healer :3

Or, if someone else wants to be another healer, I'd wanna be a tanker, luring things toward me, but being weak to magic spells.

well jun there isnt really a designated buffing magic class in d&d. both clerics and wizard based magics can do it, though d&d really doesnt do a whole lot with buffing party members anyway. clerics are the main healing class, though druids can do so as well, and paladins can do some(read not much) healing, but also perform as front line combatants.

as far as im aware, the closest thing to weaknesses to specific attacks come as saving throws but thats not really a weakness to that type.

some of the psionic abilities seem to be buffs and debuffs but im not terribly familiar with them all.

ok i have determined that we will be using 40 pts for the point buy system for stats, also magic users, instead of the way d&d normally does magic, we will be using a spell point system that i will make a sticky for with a copy of the chart for all of you who will need it

Okies, I'll work on Ari's and my stats now that the 2xp event's just about over.
