The family system is a system where you adopt a player to be the son or daughter of you and your spouse. The family tree chart is a window where you can view your entire family and even check their online status. You will also receive a title stating if you are a person's son or daughter.

Family creation and adoption services are available at Sinead in Tara Rath castle. You can create a family by registering as the father or patriarch of the family.

• This means that only a male may start a family.
  
• Family members do not have to be male though.
  
• You may register up to 8 people in the family, including yourself:
  -1 Father
  -1 Mother
  -6 Children
  
• The family name can be up to 20 characters long.
  
• After leaving a family, you have to wait 30 days before you can join a new one.
  

Family Values
The father is the head of the family, so he decides the family's motto.

• "No health potions!" While we are not in a dungeon, we will refrain from drinking health potions.
  
• "No stamina potions!" Our family has the most stamina in all of Erinn!
  
• "No mana potions!" My family fights with bow and arrows! We don't need mana!
  
• "United" My family has unity. We won't let anybody take advantage of any of us.
  
• "Health is the best!" It's impossible that dieting is bad for the body!
  
• "Ladies First" My family has a strong sense of chivalry. Within our family and out, we will always protect the women.
  
• "My friend the imp" We're idols of the Erinn families who protect the imps. Everybody is hitting the wrong guys! ~Imp
  
• "Nature's Guardians" Our family is the guardian of nature. Don't kill animals indiscriminately!
  
• "The first step to becoming wealthy" Our goal is to become rich, and the first step is to give a little.
  
• "No killing!" My family loves all life. Try to cherish the beauty of life.
  

If you break the family's motto, thunder will strike down on you and blacken your body.
The thunder will do no damage
The blackening effect is temporary (like an action?)
If you break the family motto more than 100 times, you will be labelled as the one who broke the motto "more than 100 times"
