Aw, we'll miss ya Vin, but you're welcome to stay around here. Put up links to the games you play, and maybe some of us will visit. I can understand losing interest in Mabi, especially with the way Nexon has been treating us. If we get the old service back, maybe you'll try again? And don't worry about Dak, he's going into mule status till we get the old service back. So have fun with the new games, and keep in touch.

I've known you for a while now.. anything I can say now I've probably already said before. I hope you have fun with what you'll be playing next.

I was willing to stay til they took away adv. play. That was a very stupid move on their part.

Mabi is a really great game, and the most unique mmo I've ever played, but unfortunately Nexon's "business" practices are ruining it imo.

I'm hoping to find a game that I can stick with as long as Mabi (or even Flyff... which I quit playing when I found out about Mabi. Before that, it was MapleStory).

I used to beta-test a lot of games and then quit after they went into open beta, always waiting on the next new thing to come out.

Although, that one vid of the girl on the ship destroying stuff that sounded like ducks everytime she hit them was hilarious. XD

To be honest I don't think it's completely Nexon's fault. They've followed the Korean version of the game with the updates. Soulstones and all this stuff is just directly carried over from the Korean version. Everyone's been expecting the service nerf but just wanted to believe that it wouldn't happen. Devcat's really to blame.

Taking out the adv. play service didn't happen in Korea though, did it? Idk cos I never played that version.
If it did, how long did it take them to put it back?
It really feels to me like we're getting shafted by Nexon NA.
And they don't offer up any explanations (other than what they stated before they did this) nor any apologies.
I know they have to make money but... ah, it's useless to rant, lol.

The service we have now is the one they've implemented in Korea. Korean Mabi stuck with this service; I don't think the old one will be back. I don't think the service change is as dramatic as everyone says it is.. but that's probably because I'm a free player.

The main difference between KR Mabi and our Mabi is that they have advanced play items, and we don't.
They chucked everything that was formerly adv. play into the cash shop, and made it sound like they were only putting a few things in.
Every other version of Mabi (with the exception of EU which is newer) has normal adv. play.
Why is ours gone? We don't know. Will it ever return? We don't know that either.
In any case, it's unfair, but so is life... at least people do have a choice in this.
Mine was to stop playing their game, and paying for their "service".

Lol, sure I'll visit. Perhaps I can lifeskill or something, and fight unclothed in dungeons that I know I won't die in (Ciar Beginner spam, anyone? DX)

Rofl, ya I beta-tested SG Luna, and then went to beta Gpotato's version when it came out. But I quickly got bored and returned to Mabi. XD

Luna's a very cute game, though~ and there's another one coming out soon (I think it's in cb now; KR version) that's by the same publisher called Iris Online. Looks super-cute (like a grown-up Luna) and fun as well

I tried a bit of Allods Online today, and OMG that game kicks so much arse for the hour-and-a-half I spent playing it XDDD ... but there were way too many people trying to kill the same stuff, and I had to be busy anyway so I logged off. Very sweet graphics for an f2p game. Just... WOW~

If that Luna game is the same one that I'm thinking of, it doesn't get along with AVG at all. So I can't run it. I might try those other two, tho.

I can't remember if I was using AVG when I played SG Luna or not.
Some game I played didn't get along with it, so I switched to Avast. Much better imo

LaTale, on the other hand... I could only get that to run for a few minutes before it'd reboot my comp (when I had my old crappy one).

If you guys wanna check out Allods, be aware it's VERY overpopulated right now, but it's really fun

I'm on the Tensess server as Vintersorg (Empire - Summoner) and Kaere (League - Druid).

I thought that you couldn't have both factions on one account, so I used an old account to make another char. XD
Then I found out from the forums I didn't have to do that... oh well, lol.

I don't play very long as it is, cos it gets frustrating when ten thousand other people are on the same newbie quest you're on, trying to kill the same mob. DX

Ok so I know it took me a few days to find the words for this but, I am sorry to see you go, but know you always have a place with Celion as long as I'm here. All you have to do is ask.

and if one of these other games you get into doesn't require endless grinding in the field to level then perhaps i may be interested. if they do though then i'll probably lose interest before i hit level 20 XD

I love you all, and I'm sure someday I'll return to Mabi... but right now I'm just too upset with Nexon and their so-called "business" practices to even play.

I should've remembered how they are and expected no less from them cos I played MapleStory for a long time (and quit), but I always believe in second (and sometimes more) chances. And Mabi is a great game. The company behind it though...

So far Allods is just questing... kill x number of thing, collect x number of thing, etc. lol. I'm only level 5 on one char and 4 on the other, so no idea yet about the grind.

Way too many choices for the Allods characters. It gave me a bit of trouble with a corrupted install, but I found the quick fix they have for it, so now I'm just stuck on deciding which one to try xD.

Alright, I have a Psionic named Majelle now, and this is such a WoW clone that I'm gonna go looking for Richard xD

I think you can have up to 8 characters, if that helps. (^_~)

I'm really not sure what to think of Allods. I'm not terribly fond of the old stand in one place and trade blows till someone is dead gameplay of most mmo games, but at the same time I'm curious about it.

To me it seems a very slow-progressing game, rather casual. I can't stand to play more than an hour at a time myself, cos things are so hard to find/get, especially with the amount of people who are playing.

It was in the city of Novograd... that place is very confusing. The map helps, but not that much.

I'm pretty sure I typed Majelle for her name, tho I very well could have mistyped. She's a human imperial with red hair. And yeah, I did type in her name right, so that Majella is someone else. I'm still in the first city for the Empire.
